I would like to nominate an amazing woman. My mother Linda, who truly is an amazing lady. Her thoughts are never on herself. Truly on others and her family. She has given so much of herself to all that know her. She retired, not to live the retirement life, but to take care of her mother 24-7 in her final years. Her dedication to her mother over 5 years was simply amazing, Leaving her own home and moving in with her mother for 4 years, maintaining two homes at the time and then in the final year moving her mother into her own home. Times could be stressful, dealing with a mother who unfortunately suffered from Alzheimer's. But if you ask her "Would she do it again?" She simply would say YES. After her mother's passing, Life didn't go back to normal. My mother took on, taking care of her Great Grandson's age's 3 & 5 for a year with no questions asked. Mind you my mother is 70. She knew they needed a home and opened her door to raising 2 little boy's till their mom could get back on her feet. She never hesitated once in her decision. While all of this is going on, she stilled had time to help out people in her neighborhood, knit sweaters for newborns coming along, and make time to take care of her other children, when then needed a shoulder to lean on. She is truly an amazing lady who can inspire many and I am so happy to call her MOM! She deserves a get -away. |
