WYXL’s “Mother/Daughter Look-a-Like” is an online contest that will run Wednesday, 4/23/14 at 9:00am through Thursday 5/8/14 at 11:59pm (hereinafter referred to as “contest”) in which 1 entrant will win:
- $100 gift certificate to John Thomas Steakhouse
- $200 gift certificate to August Moon Spa
- Deluxe King Room with Fireplace (subject to availability, and some blackout dates apply)($169.00) and breakfast for two at La Tourelle ($25.90)
- 2 pair of Pearl earrings from Mansour Jewelers valued at $250
- A $200 gift certificate from Avanti Boutique
- A gift basket from Now You’re Cooking valued at $200
- Total prize value $1,144.90
A. Contestant may enter contest online at literock973.com or like us on Facebook and fill out a submission form and submit one photo of herself and her mother or herself and her daughter starting April 23rd at 9AM thru 5/8/14 at 11:59pm . Voting on the submissions begins May 1st and ends May 8th at 11:59PM. Voting requires registration. You may vote once every 24 hours.
B. One Entry per household. One of the persons (mother OR daughter) in the photograph must be the mother or daughter submitting the entry and one mother OR daughter must also be in the photo. The person submitting the photo must own the photo.
C. WYXL has the final say of what content is appropriate for the website. Inappropriate photos will be disqualified. If an entrant receives irregular votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source, WYXL reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion.
D. Any photographs submitted to WYXL becomes the property of WYXL and may be used in any manner we feel appropriate in the future.
E. The entry with the most votes will win if there is a tie there will be a random drawing from all the tied entries. The winner will be announced on May 9th between 6A and 10A and notified that day by telephone. Prizes will be available for pick up starting May 12th at the WYXL studios, 1751 Hanshaw Road, Ithaca New York. This contest is in no way sponsored, administered, endorsed or associated with Facebook. All contestant information is received by WYXL via a Upickem contest template not Facebook.
F. All general WYXL contest rules apply and can be viewed at literock973.com. unless otherwise stated. You must be 18 or older have not won anything on WYXL in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of WYXL, Cayuga Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications of New England LLC, their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WYXL main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will be notified by email or phone. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If Ithaca cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
WYXL/Ithaca reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
WYXL/Ithaca reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of Ithaca, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to WYXL/Ithaca the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
WYXL/Ithaca reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or WYXL/Ithaca . Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and Ithaca are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
Ithaca reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
